CarSpanner participates in affiliate advertising programmes. When you click a supplier link and complete a purchase, CarSpanner may earn a commission. This does not affect the price you pay. Our parts recommendations are based solely on relevance, quality, and supplier expertise — not on which programmes pay the highest commissions.
What Are Affiliate Links?
An affiliate link is a tracked URL that connects a visitor’s click on CarSpanner to a purchase made at a third-party supplier. When a qualifying purchase is made through such a link, the affiliate programme pays CarSpanner a small commission. This commission is paid by the retailer, not by you — you pay exactly the same price as you would visiting the site directly.
Affiliate programmes help fund the ongoing development and operation of CarSpanner as a free service.
Our Affiliate Supplier Relationships
The following table lists our current affiliate supplier relationships, approximate commission rates, and the networks they operate through. Commission rates may change over time; this table reflects our best current information.
| Supplier | Approx. Commission | Network / Arrangement | Speciality |
|---|---|---|---|
| ClassicCars.com | ~5% | ShareASale | Classic car marketplace — parts listings and classifieds |
| Maxpeedingrods | ~12% | Direct arrangement | Performance and suspension components |
| Advance Auto Parts | Up to 10% | CJ Affiliate | Wide-range auto parts and accessories |
| Amazon Associates | 1–4% | Amazon Associates Programme | General parts, tools, and accessories |
| eBay Partner Network | 1–4% | eBay Partner Network | Used, NOS, and rare parts marketplace |
| Car Builder Solutions | TBC | Direct arrangement | Kit car and custom build components |
Where a supplier does not have an affiliate programme, CarSpanner may still recommend them based on quality and relevance. We are not compensated for recommendations outside of the above affiliate relationships.
Affiliate Networks We Use
In addition to direct arrangements, CarSpanner may participate in the following affiliate networks:
- ShareASale — Used for ClassicCars.com and similar specialist retailers
- CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction) — Used for Advance Auto Parts and general automotive retailers
- Amazon Associates — Used for Amazon product links across the service
- eBay Partner Network — Used for eBay Motors and eBay parts listings
- AWIN — Used for European suppliers where applicable
These networks place cookies on your browser to track referrals. You can manage or reject these cookies through our Cookie Preferences. Rejecting affiliate tracking cookies does not affect service functionality but means CarSpanner will not receive a commission from your purchase.
How Affiliate Relationships Affect Our Recommendations
They don’t. Our recommendations are based on:
- The supplier’s relevance to the specific vehicle and part type
- Their reputation in the classic car community
- The quality and authenticity of parts they stock
- Their ability to ship to the user’s location
We recommend many suppliers — including Moss Motors, SNG Barratt, Rimmer Bros, Classic Industries, National Parts Depot, Year One, Stoddard, and others — who may or may not have affiliate arrangements with us. A supplier without an affiliate programme will be recommended just as readily as one that pays a commission, if they are the right source for the part.
We will never recommend an inferior supplier because of a higher commission rate. Our reputation depends on giving accurate, trustworthy guidance.
Where Affiliate Links Appear
Affiliate links may appear in:
- AI-generated responses within the CarSpanner chat interface
- Supplier recommendation cards
- Any link to a supplier website from within the CarSpanner service
We do not currently use explicit “sponsored” labels on individual links within the AI chat interface, as all supplier recommendations are subject to this blanket disclosure. This page constitutes our standing disclosure for all affiliate relationships across the Service.
Your Purchase, Your Decision
CarSpanner does not guarantee the quality, price, availability, or suitability of any part recommended via a supplier link. Before purchasing:
- Verify the part number, fitment, and condition directly with the supplier
- Read the supplier’s own returns and warranty policy
- For safety-critical components, have the part inspected by a qualified mechanic or marque specialist before installation
Any transaction is solely between you and the supplier. CarSpanner is not party to the purchase contract and accepts no liability for supplier errors, defective parts, or delivery issues.
Changes and Updates
Our affiliate relationships change over time as we add new programmes or partnerships end. We update this disclosure page when our affiliate relationships materially change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent update.
